A Fruit Tree Walk for Tayport - continued!
Phase 2 of the Fruit tree walk is now complete and is looking bonny.
Apples, plums, blackcurrants, redcurrants and gooseberries are now at home around the playpark at Garvie Brae and have been rained on and mulched with bark.
A huge huge thank you to everyone who helped and supported in any way, and to Foundation Scotland who provided funds to buy the trees and bushes.
Stars of the show are the beautiful tree stakes which were painted by pupils at Tayport Primary School. Thanks to the stake artists and the school staff, and Jo for organising, supervising and varnishing.
The native hedge is now bursting into leaf and plums and farleigh damsons are about to blossom.
Here's a photo from the day showing the exclusive tree stakes!
